Singer, songwriter and sax player, Terry Hanck brings his mix of New Orleans classic R&B style with Chicago electric blues to The Yale on Friday and Saturday, September 24 and 25. Music lovers can experience this first class show that has astounded audiences across Canada, United States and Europe.
Born in Chicago, Hanck was heavily influenced by blues, soul and jazz of the 1950's and early 60's. He toured with Elvin Bishop during the 1970's and 80's, eventually branding and performing his very own signature style combination of blues and soul.
Hanck has shared the stage with music icons such as Big Joe Turner, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Miller, Albert Collins, Robert Cray, and The Neville Brothers. His vast repertoire of classic and original tunes, combined with a high-energy performance has created a following among blues, soul and jazz fans everywhere.
Hanck's 2008 CD release ALWAYS with Vizztone Music showcases his hard blowing sax, gusty vocals and incredible musical range. Described as a party on a platter, this latest CD emanates deep Chicago soul, New Orleans R&B, blues ballads, and boogaloo.
